The South American Climate
Change (SACC) Consortium is an initiative sponsored by the IAI through
the Cooperative Research Networks (CRN) Program.
The GENERAL PURPOSE
of the SACC Consortium is:
To coordinate and enhance
human and institutional resources in South American countries, in order
to advance the understanding of the coupled effects of global change and
climate variability on the oceanic, atmospheric and terrestrial ecosystems
of the Western South Atlantic region.
SHORT COURSE ON ESTUARINE HYDRODYNAMICS

The 8th SACC Short Course by Dr. A. Valle-Levinson, was held at FURG 9-18 March 2009. The course was attended by eleven graduate students from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Uruguay.
Agustin Schiariti and co-authors have published the article entitled "Life cycle of the jellyfsh Lychnorhiza lucerna (Scyphozoa: Rhizostomeae)" in Marine Biology.
The SACC Worshop was open today at 09:00 am. Alberto Piola is now speaking about SACC activity report: Fellowships, Short Courses, Science.
